We want you to have complete peace of mind about your furniture. Every Forest to Home piece is made from solid wood and finished with a hardwearing natural oil that enhances the timber’s beauty while offering lasting protection. Our handcrafted furniture is designed to be lived with, used and enjoyed every day, and to stand the test of time. It requires only simple maintenance throughout the year, which can easily be done at home.
Should wear and tear occur, don’t worry. You are investing in something built to last for decades. And if you ever need a little extra support, we’re always happy to help with maintenance, including professional re-sanding and refinishing when needed.
Many surfaces can be sanded back and re-oiled to restore their original character. Before the sanding stage, the table can be given a deep clean and fresh coat of maintenance oil. This would typically be done annually (we can even do this with you the first time, which is included in our quote). Or, if the damage is more than surface level, then a complete ‘sanding back’ is also an option.
We have a strict quality process that ensures every piece that leaves our workshops is in perfect condition. We also inspect your items at point of delivery. Of course, occasionally problems occur during transit. If there are any issues, please do reach out. We will be happy to discuss next steps and how to put things right.
