In brief

A simple-is-beautiful wooden coffee table made from English walnut with a Y-shaped split at one end. The carefully sourced tree from which it’s made makes this design a limited edition of five.

The Story

Why the Y in the name? Y slabs are cut from a tree’s main trunk where it splits into two smaller limbs. When milled, it creates a Y shape with a unique grain pattern that tells the story of how the tree naturally evolved over its many years of growth.

An Ode to English Walnut

A timber that’s scarce and hard to come by, walnut isn’t something we can source to order, which is what makes this coffee table one of our limited editions. The tree from which yours is made comes from a part of a walnut tree that fell in high winds on a local country estate.

A naturally dark timber with blonde sap wood, our English version has ribbons of varying tone running through it that you don’t see in European or American walnut.

It’s one of the most beautiful and sought-after timbers in the world.
