At Forest to Home, our bespoke timber furniture is about as far from ‘fast-furniture’ as you can get. Whether it’s a table, desk, sideboard or storage unit, each custom-made piece is as individual as you are, bringing your designs and dreams to life.
And we don’t believe in limitations. Instead we believe in bringing our passion for timber to the table, alongside our vast depth of knowledge and experience. Whether you have the seed of an idea, a firm design or you want us to entirely mastermind the creative process, we’ll work with you to handcraft your perfect piece.
The personal process
So, how does the bespoke process work? We begin with a consultation, either online or in person, to discuss your ideas and vision. And for anyone seeking inspiration, we welcome visitors at our Wiltshire workshop with open arms.
Here, you can meet the craftsmen who will create your furniture and see for yourself the lush, forested landscape that has inspired generations. We’ll also show you our raw slabs of timber, hewn from nature’s bounty. Untouched, impressive and wildly beautiful, they are just waiting to be sculpted into their finished form.
A bespoke design
Once you’ve shared your vision, we’ll create a custom-made proposal and design. We’ll also send you a selection of timber samples, or, if you’d prefer to pop in, we’ll help you handpick the perfect boards to fit your brief.
Whether you crave a honey-hued timber with distinctive knots and clusters, a rich, dark finish or a pale, Scandinavian look, the world is your oyster. As you’d expect, we are deeply passionate about timber and incorporate a wide range into our projects. Our one proviso is the planet – we work only with hardwood that is hand-selected from certified, sustainable sources.

A unique story
Ultimately, every piece of furniture we make tells its own story, such as the tables we are currently creating for the Crown Estate. Handcrafted from ancient oak trees that fell in Windsor Great Park, each table has its unique history, stretching back through generations. And your furniture too will have its own meaning.
